Key Appointment Marks Magic Memories’ Expansion

As a global leader in delivering innovative guest-centric content to the attractions industry, Magic Memories has embarked on a new phase of growth and expansion. Magic Memories today announced a key appointment to its senior management team.

Attraction industry leader and innovator Chris Warhurst takes over as Global Chief Executive Officer.  Current CEO John Wikstrom assumes a new role as Founder/President. 

According to Magic Memories Chairman Mark Bowman the new leadership structure is in keeping with the company’s strategic direction to further expand the business and brand reach.

“Since we opened for business in 1995 we’ve become a truly global company.  Magic Memories is a partner that major attractions around the world want to have, as part of their team, to capture, create and share guest experiences in compelling and engaging ways.”

Chris Warhurst comes to the position as a well-respected executive in the global attractions industry, and has unique insights and experiences that he will bring to the role. 

“Chris is extremely knowledgeable about the overall attractions industry.  He understands the specifics of our business and what is required to deliver our future growth.  He’s done business with us for over seven years and respects the Magic culture and success to date,” says Mark Bowman.    

Founder John Wikstrom believes having Chris Warhurst on board will allow the individual strengths people have, in innovation and organisational development, to come to the fore.

“As CEO, Chris will focus on scaling the business and directing our global expansion.  His mandate will be to embed the company vision into all aspects of operations including technology, culture, innovation and guest experience.”
