Visitors to Plantasia Tropical Zoo in Swansea are now able to relive and share their encounters with the unique animals and tropical plant life through Magic Memories’ innovative content capture experiences.
The popular tropical zoo, with more than 40 animal species, including meerkats, crocodiles, snakes and leopard cats, alongside hundreds of tropical plants, now offers unique multimedia content from Magic Memories, created and delivered directly to guests’ smart phones. This includes fun, interactive Magic photo and selfie experiences, with new video content.
“We’re delighted to have Plantasia Tropical Zoo as part of our family of Magic Memories partner attractions and to ‘make people smile’ as they engage with the flora and fauna at this special zoo,” says Magic Memories’ Executive Director and Founder John Wikstrom.

Mr Wikstrom says significant research and development has gone into Magic Memories’ customer, user and product experience in the past 18 months. A new contactless cloud-based operating system MagicOS™ enables Magic Memories to deliver its wide range of multimedia product experiences to all sizes of attractions – in fact, anywhere where people are celebrating being together at a branded experience.
“MagicOS™ opens up new channels that we historically didn’t have a viable or cost-effective solution for, but we’re particularly excited to be sharing Magic Memories new systems with attractions across the whole sector,” says Mr Wikstrom.
Plantasia Tropical Zoo General Manager Anthony Williams says with more and more people wanting to capture and share experiences using photos, it was important to develop new opportunities for guests visiting the unique attraction.

Through Magic Memories’ new direct to mobile platform and ecommerce system, attraction partners are using live view digital kiosk experiences and new multimedia guest facing products to add value and yield to different ticket types, plus further upselling onsite and online.
